Our Baby Kaleb!!!!!

Well, I am officially in love with my little man!  Yesterday we had our 3D Ultrasound and it was the neatest experience that I have ever had.  Brian and I invited our parents and I was so glad to include them since they didn't get to have these kind of experiences when they had us!  I just loved it.......I had never seen anything like it.  Kaleb was very active which made it fun to watch.  We saw him open his mouth and start sucking his thumb!!!!!  I couldn't get over how detailed the pictures were compared to the 2D ultrasound and not to mention watching the movement.  Just for the record, we saw 10 fingers and 10 toes so that was a relief for Brian and myself. She also told us that everything seemed healthy and normal. He looked absolutely beautiful and I can't wait to hold him!  Oh! And I do not know who he looks like......I am still new at this....but y'alls guess is as good as mine....

28 weeks

I had a doctor's appointment yesterday and I am officially in my 3rd Trimester!!!!  I am so excited.  I had to get my diabetes test done on top of getting a rhogam shot.  For those of you that don't know, I am RH negative which isn't really a big deal as long as you stay on top of stuff.  After 3 hours at the doctor's office, I do NOT have gestational diabetes and my iron is good and I get to go to the doctor every two weeks now!  Which to me just means I am getting closer!  I just wanted to give everyone an update and everything is great.  I included a picture for the record.  Oh! And I forgot to add that I have my 3D ultrasound on December 16th so I will make sure to include photos once I get them!

Tag a licious

Here are 2 fun tags. BTW if you are reading this I tag you to do one of the 2:

First, a photo tag:
The rules are that you have to take 10 pictures of the following things and do it right away. No straightening, cleaning, or wiping your kids nose(I mean it) and then tag 6 others.

Fourth Folder, Fourth Picture:This is Brian and I at a 5-star event for Wells Fargo at Joe T Garcia's.

My dream vacation:An african safari. I love big animals and I think it would be awesome to see them in their natural environment.

What the kids are doing:Practicing karate in my belly......

My bathroom:I acutally cleaned it last night!  This is a portion of it....

My laundry room:Nothing special except the laundry I need to finish.

Self portrait:Now that I am pregnant I always feel the need to take pictures from the side so I can see how big I am getting!  This is me at 28 weeks....

My Closet:Not much to look at, but I did just clean it out so I can combine Brian and I's closet for when the baby gets here.

My sink: Ok, y'all caught me.....we JUST ate dinner..at least I didn't cheat :)

My fridge: Not the best side of us.....

My Favorite Room:My living room is winning this month since I have my tree up.  I love Christmas time and I love the decorations!

My favorite shoes:At this time it will have to be my new flats.  When I got pregnant I went out and picked up a couple pair since I never really wore them before and these are so fashionable!

8 Random Facts About Me:

1.I think: I think that I can't wait for Christmas to get here so our whole family can get together again.  I am also thinking that my hips are very achy right now and I need to get up and do something!

2.Sometimes: Sometimes I snore.  My husband brought this to my attention a week or two ago and I had no idea.  To my defense, I am pregnant, and my nose is ALWAYS stuffy and I told him to deal with it b/c he has never NOT snored and I don't complain.  I haven't had a good nights sleep in a long time and I figure I will stop snoring once the baby gets here.....3 months to go!

3.I said I would never: Give up on fashion.  I used to be so cute, or so I thought....then I moved to Grandview, Texas and my stilettos just do not have the same affect when they are sinking in my grass as I walk to the car!  I don't dress the same anymore and that is sad to me....I am back to my Nike's or flats with a cute sweater.....if I ever have to go back to work, I promise myself to pick up where I left off and be TRENDY again!!!

4.I will never:I will never neglect my child.I had lunch with a friend the other day and she made me realize what a selfish life I live not having kids.....the rest of my life I promise to put my children first.  I know that it will be an adjustment but I am so excited to start this new chapter in my life and my son WILL be my new life!  I can't wait.

5.The first concert that I went to: it was NSYNC forever ago!!!!  I barely remember it but it had to of been good.

6.I love:I love my husband.  I know that I don't tell him enough, but he is a wonderful, loving, hardworking man.  I don't have to worry about anything anymore and I  love that he has taking a lot of my everyday stress off of me. When I got pregnant, Brian took over the store and he is doing such a good job and works so hard that I know he is doing the best he can.  He is an amazing man and I love him so much!

7.I love:I love eating!  I wasn't going to add this but this is such a big part of who I am! Back to my pregoness, I never new that I could like food so much and would want to eat so often....but it is the best!  Not to mention I am lucky enough to be this way during the holidays...but not to worry, I promise not to go overboard!

8.Right now I would give anything to:be on the beach at Cozumel.  Brian and I have been to Mexico a couple of times and there is nothing like relaxing on the beach with no worries in the world, UNTIL you get back! Oh and to have a tan.....gosh, I miss that!

Tis the Season

Well we finally got our christmas tree up and I was so excited to get it done!  It is so pretty and makes my house looks so festive!  Brian helped me put it up Monday night, but both of us were so tired that I decided to do the lights the next day.  Samantha ended up coming over to help me and did a wonderful job.  First she "fixed" my branches for an hour and a half, then helped me  with the lights and bulbs.....she was a life saver.  I never realized how tired I would be when pregnant but thank goodness for good friends!  Oh and today I went and bought Kaleb a stocking......I know that he isn't here yet but I wanted to get one that matched all of ours and mission accomplished!  It was a ton of fun thinking about that boy being here next Christmas though!  I can not wait for his arrival.  Oh and please disregard the mess in the photo, I was still putting everything else up....:)

My Thanksgiving Endeavors

Well Thanksgiving this year was yet again another success.  With Brian's family being local we decided to do things a little different this time.  We had Lance the weekend before thanksgiving so we had our celebration with Brian's side on Sunday.  Cathy, my mother-in-law bought a house this year and it was her first Thanksgiving to HOST and she did a wonderful job.  We had the entire family there and the food was wonderful.  Brian's brother Brad and his family came with their new baby girl and she was the cutest thing!  Ayden is 5 months and teething already, but she was still such a happy baby for what she was going through!

As of my family, we also had things a little different.  This year is was JUST our family and my Memaw.  We usually have a huge crowd but my aunt was admitted into the hospital the night before and everyone stayed up there with her to make sure things were ok, and for the record they were.  The boys played football and watched football.....the regular and the ladies just hung out and chatted.  It was still so nice to be able to relax and have no worries for a day!  It was also nice to see Memaw.  She lives in Odessa so we don't get to see her that often, so it was fun to catch up and chat with her.  Brian and I were trying to prep for BLACK FRIDAY at our store so we ended up going home early so we could get some rest....I'll let y'all know how that went later!!!

What a day.....

Let me see where to begin...so yesterday was a day from you know where....for all of you that know me you know that Brian and I live out in the country.  We bought a log cabin on 20 acres and in the beginning it was a transition for me but now I love it.  Well along with living in the country we deal with issues that I am not used to.  Numero uno: THE BUGS!!!! Moths, scorpions, spiders, excessive lady bugs, and many many more that I can not name. As of a week ago we officially had a bug problem and therefore decided to fog our house.  What an ordeal this was!!! Because of my pregnancy I decided to leave the house for the day while it went on...I promise this does get some where.....after much preparation the night before (read the back of the box for details) we left the house at 7 am.  Brian had to go to work and I was going to spend the day with my mom and sister.........until my next issue with living in the country...Numero dos: WILD ANIMALS!!!!  I got a phone call from my hubby about 2 minutes out of our drive way and I was informed that he totaled our VW Bug that we JUST bought from our parents when a deer ran out in front of him!  And let me just add when I say JUST bought I mean JUST wrote them a check for it!!!!!  Luckily he was ok but there was a fatality that I would like to refer to as Bambi.  I did feel sorry for Bambi, but I am positive that it was his time to go our he just was having a bad week and decided to take his own life.  Regardless I am sure that he is in a better place!  But can we say STRESS?

No News is Good News...

Well I had a checkup on Thursday and everything is great with the baby and me. My doctor was sweet and did another ultrasound for gender confirmation and he is DEFINITELY a boy! I will post a picture of that when I get a chance. He was the cutest thing though, I just can't wait for him to get here. I have a 3D\4D Ultrasound scheduled for the 16th of December and I think that will be so much fun to watch him moving all around. They say that you can actually see the features of the baby too!

I'm Prego....

Well we went yesterday and picked out our baby furniture! For the record, I am 24 weeks along and we are having a baby boy. Brian and I made a whole day out of hunting for what we wanted and finally found it a JC Penny's. This picture does not do it justice but it is beautiful. We are trying to get everything taken care of early since we have the holidays coming up. This is my first blogging experience and it will take a while to get used to. I'm just glad that I am pregnant so I have something to blog about!
