Happy Thanksgiving!

I always wonder what I am going to say when Papa goes around the room and asks everyone what they are thankful for...today I had so much that I wanted to say but we were limited to one thing since there were so many people. So I figured I would list them now-
1. My Mother- I never realized how much Mom put herself through to make the holidays special for us kids. She always had the prettiest house, the best food, the perfect presentation, and most important the best face forward. This year was the first year that I took on more than one project to help Mom out and let me just tell you that it is not easy. I was so stressed. Kaleb was sick and needy, I was trying to make cookies, shower, fry bacon, blow dry my hair, cut onions, put makeup on, bathe Kaleb, boil corn, etc. Not to mention I had all the EASY stuff. THANK YOU Mom for all the years that you have gone out of your way to make our holidays special and keep up your wonderful traditions. I love you and I now have a true appreciation for all of your efforts. Love you.
2. My Kaleb-The Lord has blessed me with a wonderful baby that I love more and more each day we get to spend together. I could not ask for a better baby that loves me so much. Love you Kaleb.
3.My Brian- My husband has given Kaleb and I everything that we could ever need. He is the hardest worker that I know and I am so proud of what he has accomplished the years we have been together. He has provided all that we have and I love him for it. Not to mention he was a wonderful help this morning in between frying a turkey and getting ready. Your turkey was great Honey!
4.My Family-I think I just need to write it. Our whole family was able to be together this year and it was so much fun to spend time with everyone. The cousins loved hanging out and I enjoyed visiting with everyone. There was no arguing, no bickering, just great conversation. Love all of you.

Cooking with Mommy

Kaleb and I were cooking today for our Thanksgiving celebration tomorrow with Brian's Family. He sat in his highchair for the longest just playing and eating bananas while I made a cake. By the way, I made a strawberry cake by request of my husband and it is delicious! I also added the picture of Kaleb with his new favorite toy. It is Story Time Bear. His Gigi got it for him and it's mouth moves while it tells nursery rhymes. He shakes every time the bear starts to talk and is constantly trying to kiss the bear! He is too cute.

Cousin Brendon

I just got these photos off of my camera from Halloween and Kaleb just loves his cousins! In these pictures he was reclining on Brendon forever just like he was with me. I love that he loves everyone so much that he wouldn't even notice if I was gone.

First Tooth~

Kaleb got his first tooth Tuesday November 3rd!!! It barely just broke through the gums and it is adorable. It is on the bottom left and I tried to take a picture but the Toot sticks his tongue out every time I tried to open his mouth. I will try to get one soon though. His Aunt Kimmy found it when he was playing in the den with Miles and I just cried! I can't believe that he is getting so big so fast. Next he will be crawling, walking, then off to kindergarden and wanting me to leave so he can play with his friends......

I promise I am happy about the growth of my son! Bittersweet :)

Klobster the Lobster continued...

Klobster the Lobster..well crab!

It's Kaleb's 1st Halloween and I couldn't wait to purchase his costume! I spotted this crab at Babies R Us and had to have it. When the time came they were out of it. So I went to Target and bought a LOBSTER costume that looked very similar. A couple of weeks later I was at Babies R Us again and found it for half price.....what a steal! I was so happy to get it. The bright colors made his creamy skin just pop! I can't wait to show it off this weekend. The lobster nickname just stuck so I decided to keep it anyway.....we have all called him Klob since the day he got here!

My Angel

Isn't he just precious? The other day I went over to Kim's house to mow her lawn and she decided to do a photo shoot of my little man while I was busy. I love them...he is the sweetest baby. Oh and MY MAN LOVES GUACAMOLE!!!! Last night I made fajitas and Brian decided to give Kaleb a bite of guacamole. He thought it was going to be funny because he knew that he wouldn't like it but boy was he wrong! He loved it and couldn't get enough of it! Kids like the craziest things.Posted by Picasa

FARMER FAMILY REUNION

I had a great weekend at my uncle's farm this last weekend. We had a Farmer Family Reunion and it was nice catching up with my relatives that I don't see often enough. When we found out that we were having it at Uncle Guy's 100 acres, we decided that it would be fun to take our four wheelers and cut loose for the day! Brian's dad let us borrow his 2 four wheelers so we had more for everyone to get to ride. It was a blast! It had been raining there for a while and muggy the day we arrived so the mud was perfect. I had so much fun hanging out with my sisters and being "care free" for the day. Mom and Dad watched Kaleb ALL day so I could play and I loved not having to worry about him.

The guys took there guns out, Ian brought his skeet shooter along with ammunition and they were occupied for awhile! I shot Dad's new shot gun and it was fun....I love it! Now if I only hit the skeet, that would have been better :)....

All and all it was great getting away with Brian and relaxing for the weekend. Only issue-we got the truck and trailer stuck in the field and that was great watching them get it out! Uncle Guy ended up having to use his tractor to pull us out....I want a tractor, that is all that I am goin to say!

Leslie's Baby Shower

Here are some pictures of the shower that I put together. Everything looked great especially the mantle. The Crafty Diva, yes, that would be me, made the letters to display in my firend's nursery and they were the perfect touch to decorate.

Kaleb-7 months

I know I haven't blogged in awhile but I have been soooo busy! We had a suprise party for my brother and a baby shower the next day and then Brian's dad was put in the hospital and I think y'all can figure it out from there! The party for Ian was a blast! It was the dreaded "30th" but he handled it well. All of us got together and thought of 30 things we could remember-happy, funny, sad....and it was great. After that we built a bondfire and did smores. The kids and Ian had a great time and couldn't ask for a better party.

Then I had my friend Leslie's baby shower and it turned out PERFECT!!! I had made her the decorative wood letters that hang on the wall and I used them over the mantle....I will have to get some pictures, they were adorable!!! Anywho everything went great and she had a good turn out too! Thank you to Kim and Mom for the finishing touches.

Brian's dad got a bug bite the other day while building fence and had a terrible reaction. They had to open the wound up and let it heal inside out! Painful....then he had a bad reaction to the antibiotic. They medicine made his immune system fight off his blood...scary I know. There is a 1% chance and Max was it. His blood count went from 12 to 5 and that is bad. Currently he is getting better. They transferred him out of the ICU last night and was on his last bag of blood.....so that is a good thing. Hopefully he will keep doing better!!!

Anywho these picture were taking the other day while we were hanging out here at the house and Kaleb is a ham in front of the camera. I guess he just knows when that camera is out :)...

Our 1st Family Vacation

The man that took this picture was shaking....I felt so bad for him, we couldn't bare to ask him to take another....

We got to go on our first vacation with Kaleb this last weekend and loved every minute of it! Ian, Julia, and Kate joined us along with Brian's cousin Kacy and her husband Eli. We rented some cabins out at Lake Murray in Oklahoma and the whole experience could not have been more perfect. We took the boat and the four wheelers to have an eventful weekend and let me just start with our boating experience......I can basically wakeboard!!! I got out of the water my second try and now I just have to figure out what to do when I get up! Just for some background, I have never skied so this was something new for me...I loved it! I can not wait to go back out again :) This was also Kaleb's first time on the boat and he did perfect.....he actually fell asleep sitting up on me when his dad was wakeboarding. There was not a peep out of him and his cousin Kate loved it too! We could have not asked for better babies to take with us. Julia even tried the water sports and did awesome....it was so much fun!

Here is my link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-QEwVwPO3NI

The next day we took out the four wheelers and that was an experience in itself. We all had a great time and everyone took turns with the kids so we all got to participate...THANK YOU TO ALL! Brian and I just got a new Polaris 4X4 Sportsman that was bought specifically to get "stuck in the mud" and boy did he....
Brian, Kacy, and the boys went out while Julia and the babies and I went to make lunch and I came back to the scene above!!! Brian went to go into a mud hole and it was EXTREMELY deep...he said he had no idea that it was up to his waist!!! Long story short the new four wheeler is currently out of order....but at least they had fun!!! He said it took a couple of strangers and Ian to get it out...

Other than that everyone had a blast. That night we cooked out and stayed up for 4 hours just talking around the camp fire just enjoying everyone's company. Oh and I loved Oklahoma!!! They weather was perfect EVERYDAY....We woke up and walked in the mornings when it was 70 degrees and there was a perfect breeze the whole time. And the lake was beautiful....it was turquoise and you could see your feet while in the water- BIG change from Lake Pat Cleburne if you have ever been there!

It was the best-every minute of it....can't wait to go back :) I'll post more pics later once I get to my computer....

The Cutest Hat I Have Ever Seen....

Adorable!!!! I found this hat at Gymboree and I could not pass it up! Brian just loved it. Mom and I went to the Hillsboro Outlets and they had tons of clothes at great prices. Kaleb went from 6 month clothes to 9 months pretty quickly so I had to shop! They had Carter's, The Children's Place and Gymboree all in one strip and I got some real good deals....I love sales! This hat though was the best purchase I feel....I am going to take some professional pictures with it for his daddy :).....

1st Ranger Game

We took Kaleb to his first Ranger game the other night for Meg's birthday and had a wonderful time. Kaleb loved the loud music and the big lights..he was in awe the whole time. He just loves being outside, it relaxes him. Oh and Happy Birthday to Meg! We had a blast together and were glad we were invited! Oh as you can see Brian did finally recover from the surgery....he had a hard time but who wouldn't with 7 teeth extracted?!?

Poor Brian

Well Brian went to the dentist the other day due to a tooth ache. After the exam they decided that the tooth needed to be extracted and that it was bad enough that he needed to see an oral surgeon. We had a consult with him on Monday and found out that Brian needed to have 7 teeth extracted!!!! Come to find out, that tooth went bad because of his wisdom teeth. He never knew because he always did everything in his power to avoid the dentist. He had the surgery on Tuesday and is having a rough time with it. They told us that everything went fine but there is just a lot of bleeding. Today he woke up and the bleeding pretty much had stopped which helped a ton. We have another appointment on Friday to get the packing out of the back two wisdom teeth. Oh and the day of surgery I had to leave Kaleb with Mimi and he is such an angel....the little man didn't eat for 5 hours and didn't even get upset about it. He is so easy going, I can't explain it. I will keep y'all posted after Friday's visit.
